The body cabinet, model KS-R

Profiled pressing plates

Compared to previous designs, the profile depth was increased by almost 50 % which means that the side and shoulder sections are almost completely pressed.

Vacuum

A vacuum efficient on a large surface is created in the central area of the dummy.

The vacuum speeds up the alignment of the articles, ensures their secure position on the dummy and makes sure that the operator must not permanently handle the hot textile.

Article alignment is now reduced to two actions: as soon as the foot switch is actuated, the sleeve spreaders move out, the vacuum is switched on and the lateral air bellows adapt to the shape and size of the individual article.

The operator only needs to pull the right-hand and the left-hand front part of the article tight. The extremely low noise vacuum turbine is integrated in the machine and inside the insulated machine panelling. This means that noise suppression is combined with space saving.

Self adapting dummy mould

The sturdy dummy moulds are heated from inside.

The dummy mould automatically adapts itself - inside out - to the fitted article with its lateral air bellows, without the use of additional bars, cords or other actuating elements. Even extremely wide articles are perfectly tensioned, and where extremely small articles are processed, the air bellows retract as far as is required without leaving bulges which would entail marks on the pressed articles.

Patented, flexible pressure system independent on the dummy padding.

Flexible pressure system and compressed air recovery

Conventional systems use pressure cylinders which, in most cases, transfer the force onto the press plates by means of a mechanical knee lever system.

The central elements of the new pressure system are wear-free bellows cylinders successfully used in the automobile industry. They transfer the force directly onto the press plates.

This helps achieving a uniform pressure distribution which is always independent of the individual padding thickness and its condition.

The result is a consistent press finish and an optimum heat transmission throughout the entire process, the latter being, as is known, mainly influenced by the effect of the pressure.

Following each press cycle, the part of the air escaping from the bellows cylinder is lead into an accumulator and from there back to the bellows cylinder as a new cycle is starts. This recovery minimises the compressed air requirement for operating the bellows cylinder.

The freely selectable lifting height of the dummy moulds ensures an ergonomically correct working position.

Infinite adaptation to the height of the dummy to the height of reach of the operator

A maintenance-free swivel drive allows the rapid movement of the dummy moulds to their press and/or pull-on position.

Using a turning knob, the operator can infinitely set the position of the dummy moulds in which their move-in motion into the press station is to be interrupted: after pulling on the item on the dummy mould and actuating a foot switch, the dummy mould moves up and stops so that the operator can position the bottom section of the article without strenuous bending. A repeated actuation of the foot switch causes the dummy mould to complete its swivel motion into and between the press plates.

This intermediate stop point to ease bodily stress depends on the body height of the operator or on the article length, for which reason it can be infinitely adjusted.
