High performance quality finishing by full form pressing of cotton and mixed fabric trousers. All sections of trousers of any size and cut, including the waistband and the front section, are perfectly pressed in one operating step. The dummy moulds adapt to the smallest and to the largest waist measurements and over-sizes. The press plates allow dimensioning to fully and correctly cope with over-sizes. As such, the machine can be universally used without compromise for all trousers. |
Dummy mouldThe dummy mould consists of an upper and a bottom clamping device as well as of textile air cushions in the waistband area. In the bottom clamping device, pneumatically adjustable tensioning blades ensure the adjustment to different crotch widths. The top clamping device adapts itself automatically to the individual waist size. The front waist area is fixed on air cushions by means of pneumatically actuated contact pressure forks which eliminates time consuming closing of buttons or hook-closing of the trouser waistband. The clamping mechanisms are arranged such that pressure marks are excluded. Press station The press station consists of two steam heated press plates and the cushioned and also steam heated middle section. A heated dummy wedge lowers between the press plates to ensure a correct pressing of the trouser front section in the waistband area. During the press cycle hot air is blown into the dummy mould by means of an integrated fan. |

Working environment and ergonomicsBoth the working environment and the ergonomics are particularly well solved: the operator must not suffer from heat and steam and can perform all operating steps with an upright body position. In the operating position, the dummy moulds can be optionally raised or lowered by 35 cm. During the pulling-on process, the dummy mould lowers to allow operation of the top clamping device. It subsequently raises to allow access to the bottom clamping device without the operator having to bend down. As soon as one of the two dummy moulds has lowered in its pulling-on position, the waistband is pulled on and tensioned. The dummy mould raises and the trouser legs are pulled over the tensioning blades. |
The stretching of the trouser legs by the corresponding extension of the tensioning blades is initiated by actuating the knee-operated bar. Once the trouser is correctly tensioned on the dummy mould, the operator triggers the press command. Following this the dummy mould swings into the press station, the press plates close, the heated dummy wedge lowers into the waist area of the front trouser section, and hot air is blown into the air cushion. |
In the meantime the other dummy mould has automatically moved out of the press station and into the removal position, the clamping devices have unclamped so that the pressed trouser can be removed with ease. Special advantages In the Tandem trouser press T-HK the trousers are pressed in vertical position. Whereas with conventional pressing the trousers had to be laid and positioned four to six times, one finish process is sufficient in the T-HK. The waist area and both legs are completely pressed in one operation. Both creases are uniformly pressed up to the belt area. The clamping mechanisms are arranged such that press marks are excluded. The T-HK copes with a comprehensive type range of trousers, e.g. workwear for the entire hospital, cantine and hotel kitchen areas. Small sizes, large waist and over-sizes can be processed without changing the forming elements. |
